The world is always going to need food, and with an increasing population, we have to consider how we are going to address this. A volunteer in agriculture
will introduce you to questions like these. You will also explore the different kinds of careers in the field, such as food scientist and environmental analyst.
Volunteer in agriculture can also take place on farms themselves, where you will learn more about sustainable principles and gain advice from experts.
Either way, you will end up with more knowledge and a better sense of what you want to do within this vast industry. As an intern in agriculture, you will
literally be helping to save the planet and the people that inhabit it.
This program is a design with practical experience in implementing a permaculture design, growing food, homesteading, and community.
As part of the community, you will be involved in the efforts to share resources and build resiliency. You will have an inside look at what is involved in
running a non-profit organization with invitations to all events, gatherings, and possibly some conferences.
The practical learning experiences lead to better understandings of ourselves and our knowledge of the surrounding world. This will be a large component of
your experience here. You will be actively taking on varying responsibilities to carry.
The volunteer will be exposed to a variety of career development opportunities, including leadership, personal branding, social media and other career enhancing
opportunities for interacting with the farmers through on-the-farm experiences.
