Child Care Volunteer

Teaching English enables a real improvement in the lives of the children by progressing their English language ability, making it easier for them to further advance their education. Learn how to and effectively plan, implement and teach kids and youth.

Volunteers interested in teaching basic computers skills like using the Internet, Word, Excel or other programs are welcome.

Volunteer Responsibility

Teaching English or additional languages
Teaching computer Skills
Organising and conducting recreation activities
Organsation and administrating of care and education
Leading group activities
Interact appropriately in a variety of situations
Help support day-to-day operations
Assist with various assigned projects
Help children with disabilities*

*Looking for volunteer with a background in sociology/psychology or with experience.

Volunteer Requirement

No teaching experience needed but helpful
Eager to learn and share knowledge
Flexibility and creativity
Engaging the students and sequencing the lessons in a way that students can grasp
Passion for the natural world and working with children
Special skills and experience such as playing musical instruments, singing, or crafts is a plus but not required
Background in TESOL or ESL treasured
No upper age limit
